A New Approach To Teaching Guitar

A new system for teaching students how to play guitar lets them remove the lead or rhythm track from a number of classic songs and play along.

(NAPSI)—There’s good news for those who want to learn how to play guitar but don’t know where to start.

A new instructional system that offers students a teacher, an amp and a band—all in a single box—is said to be striking a chord with students.

The system includes a guitar-to-USB cable that lets you play guitar through your computer, complete with a wide range of effects and presets created to make it sound as if you were playing through different kinds of amplifiers, and a wide range of stomp-box effects, including distortion, chorus and a wah-wah pedal.

The instructional package also includes licensed songs from artists such as Boston, Oasis, Joan Jett and The Clash. Students can remove the lead or rhythm track and play along to on-screen scrolling sheet music, guitar TAB and guitar chords.

The software also makes it possible to play for hours in a variety of styles including rock, blues, jazz, metal and classical, while you practice solos and scales with dozens of jam tracks in various keys and different tempos.
